I have a Python program which does exactly what you mention, I double click the shortcut on my desktop and it exports the notes from Simplenote and creates all of the markdown files for me in a folder of my choice. Convert your exported files into Standard Notes format by using the plaintext converter tool. I use Simplenote as an inbox for ideas being able to quickly export notes into Obsidian is really useful.
